Every Luma coat starts long before our studio. It starts on a farm, with a sheep, a shearer and a promise that the fibre can be followed all the way to your wardrobe.

What traceable really means

Traceable wool means we know the farm, the scouring mill, the spinner and the weaver behind each bale. Every batch comes with a certificate, and we visit our partners in person at least once a year.

“If we cannot tell you where it came from, we will not make it.”

Better for the animals

All of our farms are certified to the Responsible Wool Standard. That means no mulesing, careful land management and good welfare from the first day to the last.

Our checklist for every wool supplier

  • Responsible Wool Standard certification
  • Full chain of custody from farm to fabric
  • Mills that recycle their water and energy
  • Fair wages, audited every year

Better for you

Good wool lasts. It resists odours, regulates temperature and, cared for properly, keeps its shape for a decade. That is the most sustainable garment there is: the one you keep wearing.
