QR codes that people actually scan
Contrast, size, a clear call to action and a dynamic link: the four things that decide whether a QR code gets scanned.
A QR code is only useful when someone scans it. Design for the phone camera first.
Keep the contrast high
Dark modules on a light background scan best. Colourful is fine; low contrast is not.
Give it room
Leave a quiet margin around the code and print it at least 2 cm wide.
Say what happens next
A caption like "Scan for the menu" doubles scans compared with a bare code.
Make it dynamic
Point the code to a short link so you can change the destination and count every scan.
